Karen Zoid

Karen Zoid had an eventful summer with the release of her fifth album, “* Terms&conditions”.
The new album was released on 1 November 2011 with two brand new singles enjoying high
rotation on the radio waves. Music videos for both singles have also been completed and are
available online.

Eagerness for the new album has been high since her last solo album Post Modern World was
released in 2007 with the smash hit Aeroplane Jane. Karen also recently played the lead role
in the new Franz Marx movie, “Susanna van Biljon”, which premiered on the big screen on 24
September to critical acclaim and great success at the box office. The movie theme song
“Want as ek droom” has been re-worked for the album.

With the release of her first solo album, Poles Apart (2002) she burst on the scene with hits
like Afrikaners is plesierig. In 2003 fans were introduced to songs like Beautiful and Ons soek
rock & roll on Chasing the Sun and in 2005 Small Room (Media) became one of the biggest
songs being play listed on radio. All three these albums achieved Gold status. Aeroplane
Jane (Post Modern World) became the most requested song over the past three years on
radio.

Time Magazine and US News & World Report highlighted her role as icon in the South- African
market. First year students at Universities study her writing as part of their academic
modules and with a SAMA award for Best Female Artist under her belt the release of her fifth
album is a highly anticipated one.
